The Finger Lakes Region encompasses a large part of Upstate New York. It gets it's name from a series of large lakes that resemble the fingers of one's hand. The landscape is composed of gently rolling hills and, of course, large bodies of water. The area is primarily rural in nature with a scattering of small towns and villages.
