Skaneateles
Skaneateles is on the northern end of Skaneateles Lake. The town is a typical quaint upstate village. It is small, only compromising about 4 square blocks. There are a few mid sized inns and a handful of restaurants. The town park is on the edge of the water offering a placid, picturesque view

Accommodations in the town are very limited. There are no large chain hotels in the town. There are a few smaller inns and a number of bed and breakfasts.

There are a few shops and you can take excursions on the boats. One of he best things to do is simply relax by the lake and enjoy the view of the lake and cool breezes.

Getting there.
Skaneateles is about a half hour from the nearest exits on I-90 or I-81.
